During our stay at Mariner Cay Marina, we've attended most of the weekly, Friday happy hours. People in the neighborhood and marina gather from 6-8. Everyone brings their own drink of choice, and a snack to share; bartender, glasses and ice are provided. The happy hour is held in a building on the marina's parking lot. The building used to be a full restaurant, but is now rarely used, as the neighborhood is changing.
We met a lot of really nice people at happy hour. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome, along with any friends we brought with us. We often took Sue and Mick, and John. When Scott's friend, Jeff, was in town...he did happy hour with us, too!
The resident's gave us a lot of local info. We also traded boating stories and enjoyed hearing about where each of them are from, up north. It made us feel a part of the neighborhood. :)
